Designed primarily for use in the food industry, the METTLER TOLEDO SAFELINE Ferrous Detector is able to detect ferrous contaminants in foil wrapped products or packed products with foil components, e.g. ready meals, confectionery, yoghurt, dairy and snack food pots.

Unique product signal cancellation techniques are used which enable residual signals from aluminium packaging materials to be memorised and cancelled out enhancing metal detection capabilities and detector performance.

Detection heads are customisable to suit specific application requirements and are available in a wide range of aperture sizes in either stainless steel or white painted finish as standard. When integrated with conveyor handling systems, they can provide fully automated on-line inspection.
